Serrano Chili Seeds (Capsicum annuum)

Like many other varieties Serrano chilis this comes from Mexico. This chili is especially used in mole sauces like the popular guacamole and it is hotter and less fleshy than jalapenos. The plants reach 70-100 cm in height and must be located in full sun.

The fruit ripens from green to red, both of which are used and the pungency increases with maturity. To reduce this a little you can remove seeds and membranes before use.
