This snuff rather small sized tobacco plant (approx. 60 cm) is "strong tobacco", the nicotine content of the leaves is very high (approx. double Virginia). This is the reason why people in Europe do not smoke and grow it much. However in Russia it is still used for the cigarette production. In Central America it is the classic Indian tobacco. After fermenting Mapacho develops a typical aroma of violets, this pleasant aroma can be enjoyed mixing this with Virginia.
