Sweet Wormwood Seeds (Artemisia annua)

Although Sweet Chinese Wormwood, called Qing Hao, has been used as a medicinal plant for over 2,000 years, for malaria and intestinal parasites, in the West it was not until 2002 that it was recognized by WHO confirming that its content "Artemisinin" makes it the most effective means against malaria. Also, recently under discussion is the use of this plant (extracts) against some types of cancer (breast cancer, leukemia and prostate).

There is a lot of information on the Internet on this subject, especially the Anamed Group which is a small initiative in Germany which has considerable experience in providing seminars on 'natural medicine' and its application as a sustainable and responsible approach in developing countries (especially in Africa ). Artemisia annua, under appropriate conditions is approx. 2.50 m high and requires a space of approx. 1 m2, its light green leaves give off an intense and pleasant aroma.
